This is the third and final part of me solving GCE O Level Physics (5054), paper 11 for May June 2020 (5054/11m/j/20).

Paper 1 for O Level Physics has 40 compulsory questions. The details regarding specific questions are:

Question 26: Remember than the refractive index (n) = sin i / sin r.

Question 27: (Total Internal reflection) is the complete reflection of a ray of light within a medium such as water or glass from the surrounding surfaces back into the medium. The phenomenon occurs if the angle of incidence is greater than a certain limiting angle, known as the critical angle.

Question 28: A converging lens focuses parallel rays on a point to form an image (rays meet at a point).

Question 29: Red light has a lower frequency and greater wavelength than the violet colour.

Question 30: (20 000 : 20 = 1000 : 1).

Question 31: Ultrasound scans, or sonography, are safe because they use sound waves or echoes to make an image, instead of radiation.

Question 32: Likes poles repel and opposite poles attract.

Question 33: The rule of electromagnetism applies: current in the coil applies a force on the cone. Thus, the sound is produced.

Question 34: The concept about charges apply over here (positive attract negative charges and vice versa). I have used the same concept and by the process of cancellation, D is the correct answer.

Question 35: Note that the negative charges experience an electric force in an opposite direction of the electric field (for example, if the force is towards the left, the electric field will be towards the right).
But, it is not the same for the positive charges.

Question 36: The electromotive force (e.m.f) = J /C. The voltage is the same if cells are connected in parallel.

Question 37: Number of neutrons = nucleon number - proton number.

Question 38: Fact

Question 39: Apply the concept of half-life (1/4 means that two half-lives have passed).

Question 40: A fuse is an electrical safety device that operates to provide overcurrent protection of an electrical circuit. When too much current flows through it, the current is stopped or interrupting.
