Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari on 3-day NE tour from Nov 9-11
Gadkari to assess implementation of projects under his Ministry. 10 new flyovers and road-over bridges to come up across Assam. Flyovers & Road-over bridges to come up along National Highway in Kathiatoli, Borghat, Demow. Flyovers also announced in Raha, Baihata, Simlaguri, Bongaigaon Refinery, Chapaguri, Pathsala & Jagiroad. 2 major projects announced for Guwahati alone

Guwahati Outer Ring Road Project & Khanapara - Airport Ropeway Project to start soon. Projects to be a major relief for commuters to bypass city traffic. An ambitious ropeway project connecting highlands of Guwahati also on Centre’s cards. Assam Govt asked to undertake comprehensive survey.
