How to make a tincture for Bitters and Soda

The third element in the craft soda flavour triad is tinctures, the other two being extracts and essences. Tinctures are lesspotent than extracts but they can be considered flavour highlights that add bitterness, colour or spiciness (and many other things) to drinks and syrups.
