Anyone who has run a marathon knows that preparation is key but how long do you HAVE to train for a marathon? I brought that question to a guy who knows quite a bit about running and he shared some pretty clear answers.

How long do you really need to train for a marathon?
Because there’s like a million and one plans online...16 weeks, 18 weeks, 20 weeks, 32 weeks But how long... do you need?
So I’m not an expert but not that long ago I actually talked to a guy who is.
Carl Leivers is a former college running coach who now offers coaching to runners of all levels. Last year we had a great Last year we had a great conversation about the ins and outs of marathon training. Unfortunately within days of us talking seemingly every marathon everywhere was cancelled. And that video languished away lost to sands of time. Or just sitting in a folder on my desktop.
