Kinontra ng Pilipinas ang ulat ng China hinggil sa nangyaring banggaan ng mga barko ng coast guards sa bahagi ng Escoda Shoal sa West Philippine Sea.

Ayon sa National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea, ilang beses binangga ng China ang dalawang barko ng Pilipinas na posible umanong napagkamalang magsasagawa ng resupply mission sa BRP Teresa Magbanua na ilang buwan na ring nakabantay sa nasabing bahura.
