“Jaam (Goblet)” – Live at Fringe World Festival 2024 Perth

Join us for a soulful, improvised performance of Jaam (Goblet) by the Esfandiar Shahmir Ensemble, recorded live at Lyrics Underground during Fringe World Festival 2024. This piece is an improvisational conversation between instruments, reflecting the human experience of gathering and sharing heartfelt moments—embodying how people come together, sharing conversations as if they were raising goblets in celebration. It is performed in the dastgah of Nava, a musical mode associated with introspection and melancholy.
