They assembled these trippy images using many innovative techniques: photomontage, photo manipulation and collage, years before the art of collage was officially recognized in a pre Photoshop age. It seems these fantasy postcards still have the power to inspire curious minds today. Surrealism, or the precursor to surrealism, makes us question our current reality, triggering a cascade of new possibilities, often morphing into a form beyond the wildest dreams of even the original artist.
