Jennie Will, Early Care Assistant Manager for the Head Start Program, provided an update on the wonderful activities taking place in Home Visiting.

The Pregnant Women Socials started back in January. Participants meet monthly to discuss topics that impact pregnancy, including mental health and nutrition. The participants have shared how grateful they are for the opportunities to talk with other pregnant woman going through similar situations.

The 0-5 Socials include all home visiting families (Home-Based and Early Head Start). These socials have been very successful, including the January session which had 60 people in attendance.

Home-Based Field Trips is an opportunity for children to have a unique experience using their large gross motor skills and to strengthen their social-emotional competencies in a fun and interactive environment. The outing had 16 families in attendance.
