Created in 1936 by order of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR, the Red Army Fuel Supply Department with departments in military districts marked the beginning of the glorious history of the fuel service, which throughout this time has consistently demonstrated loyalty to the Fatherland, courage
and selflessness.
The activities of the fuel service are inextricably linked with the combat chronicle of the army and navy, the heroism of soldiers in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the valor and courage of officers and soldiers who performed their international duty in Afghanistan and other local military conflicts.
The intense and truly heroic work of the fuel service specialists has been repeatedly noted in the creation of the country's nuclear missile shield, the elimination of the consequences of emergencies, the extinguishing of massive forest fires, and the elimination of man-made accidents and disasters.
