Lacock Abbey pronounced Laycock and apparently once had the 'y', no longer uses it in the spelling. The Abbey has been used for many films like Harry Potter and the Village for the likes of Pride and Prejudice. It is the British birthplace of photography. The abbey was the house of Fox Talbot.
It is 16 miles away from Castle Coble in the Cotswolds, Wiltshire. Both can be visited in one day. This is a National Trust property, do not forget your card, though nowadays they check on the computer and know if you are saying you have one you do not!
