The winter storm is impacting several counties and a snow emergency has been issued in certain areas. Northwest counties like Ottawa, Seneca, Huron, Sandusky, and Erie have even issued a level 3 Winter Weather Rd. condition warning, -- which means roads are closed for non emergency travel to make way for those emergency crews and plows.

We spoke with the Erie County Sheriff who told us luckily it seems people have been following their advice and staying off the roads, they haven't had to respond to too many accidents today.

But, he's only expecting conditions to get worse tonight.
