Mapping for Mature Bucks Series - Video #5 - Boots on the Ground Scouting

In Video 5 of the Mapping for Mature Bucks Series, I dive into how I walk into a focus area and verify or prove what we guessed at, when we e-scouted using CalTopo and other softwares, such as OnX, Spartan Forge, and Google Earth. In the focus are, I spent a lot of time walking every deer trail, every ridge, and drainages. I eliminate (delete) everything from e-scouting that is not reality. Everything gets documented on the map and deer trails are recorded as "tracks." After 4 hours or more, the map should give you a good idea where you can plan to hunt, based on what the terrain and the map revealed. These methods in the four terrain features that we talk about in this video series will help you be in the spot within the spot to be more successful on mature bucks.
