Welcome to my channel, my name is Shanay Braxton and I help a Travel Content Creators optimize their content marketing strategy.

Today’s video is about the process of creating content. In this video, I am going to walk you through the content creation workflow that allowed me to publish daily content onto YouTube and Instagram.

This workflow includes 5 steps to create travel and lifestyle content on a consistent basis.

Step 1: Reference your content calendar

In the last video we talked about creating a content calendar. Watch that video first then come back to this video because it is the foundation of this lesson.

Now pick a topic from your content calendar based on the date you have it scheduled to publish.

Keep in mind—— your content topics are based on the 3-5 categories that you are using to organize your brand content and messaging.

Once you have a topic, it’s time to read, watch, and learn what others creators are discussing on this topic and what new angle or unique approach you can share with your audience.

While researching, write down things that spark ideas.

Next steps

Outline the main points, message, and calls to action for your content.

Your outline is your framework, the basis at which your combined ideas comes to life.

*Take this step very serious.
Outline structure- Beginning, middle, end

A digital version of your outline will help you create captions and descriptions so be sure to type your outline in order to place on multiplier platforms.

Step 3

Get into your creative zone and create the content

This should not be rushed!

According to Convertkit “the more videos you create the more comfortable you’ll get in your own skin and the better your content will become. “

In order to maintain consistency, my Saturday’s are dedicated to creating content.

Two factors to consider
1. My video outline is complete before Saturday
2. Videos are created a week before they are published.

Convertkit highly advises not to create and edit on the same day. I agree but if this is how you have to start then do it until you can change it.

Step 4 Revise

Make creative revisions to your content and copy

—- I use Final Cut Pro and Google keep

Step 5 Publish

As a YouTuber there are things I have to consider once I am ready to publish a video.
1. Video Thumbnail
2. Keywords
3. Description box
4. End screen
5. Cards
6. Marketing across different platforms
