Mataji is a monastic member of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission. She is currently editor of the journal Samvit. She had previously served as Principal of Nivedita Vidyamandir, New Delhi.
She has done an extensive study of the Yoga-Vedanta texts which include the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Raja Yoga, Upanishads and the Prakarana Granthas along with their commentaries. Her additional interest of study includes the Brahma Sutras with Sankara's commentary, Vivekananda's Complete Works, Works of Ramana Maharshi and the Bhagavad Gita.
She has been widely lecturing all over India since 2010 which includes many higher educational institutions and schools. She spoke many times at Vivekananda Study Circle- IIT Delhi and also gives a course on Yoga- Vedanta every semester in IIT Delhi through their “NRCVEE(National Center for value education in engineering)”
She travelled Internationally to deliver lectures in South Africa, Ireland, Great Britain. She has also spoken at Imperial college London. She has extensively travelled in Canada, US and addressed Vedanta Societies of Iowa, Washington DC., etc. and Universities of repute.
