Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the 40 CRPF personnel martyred in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack on its seventh anniversary. Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi also honoured the fallen heroes. A wreath-laying ceremony was held at Lethpora in Pulwama. On February 14, 2019, a suicide bomber targeted a CRPF convoy, killing 40 personnel in one of India’s deadliest terror attacks.
