Regular SIP and Step-Up SIP are two investment strategies.
Regular SIP involves investing a fixed amount regularly, while Step-Up SIP involves increasing the investment amount periodically.
Step-Up SIP is considered inflation-proof as it accounts for increasing income and expenses over time.
In the given example, a Regular SIP of Rs. 10,000 per month for 26 years results in a total investment of Rs. 31.2 Lakh and a return of Rs. 2.12 Crore.
A Step-Up SIP with a 10% increase in investment amount each year for 20 years results in a total investment of Rs. 68.73 Lakh and a return of approximately Rs. 2 Crore.

Step-Up SIP allows the investor to reach the same return value 6 years earlier than Regular SIP.

Long Term Capital Gains Tax is applicable on mutual funds only when the units are sold.

Mutual Fund Loans are also available as an alternative to selling units to save tax.
