Bruce Lee made the oblique kick famous when he used it repetitively against Chuck Norris in "The Way of the Dragon" film. Since then it has been used in everything from self-defense to professional MMA.

The oblique kick is a good motion to attack your opponents lead leg. The key to this movement is to make sure you’re driving with your heel as opposed to the side of your foot. This causes much more damage and will protect your foot from getting injured.

There’s also a variation on this kick called the oblique stomp which will be covered in a later video.
