What is a Full wave rectifier:
A full-wave rectifier circuit converts AC into DC and it is designed by using two diodes.
Unlike a half-wave rectifier, A full-wave rectifier converts both half cycles of input AC voltage. Hence, the average or DC value of the output signal is more than a half-wave rectifier.

Types of Full-wave rectifier circuits:
1) Center tapped full wave rectifier
2) Full-wave bridge rectifier

The output of a Full-wave rectifier is pulsating DC. The ripple in the output waveform can be reduced using the filter.
To remove or reduce the ripple from the output waveform, the RC time constant of the filter circuit should be much larger than the time period of the Full-wave rectifier.

RMS Value: Vm/√2

Ripple Factor: 0.48

Efficiency: 81.2 %
