How to Bend Trim Around a Curved Surface

In this video home renovation brothers Dave and Rich show you how to bend trim around a curved surface.

To bend trim around a curved surface you need a material that flexes. The choices to make material bend are kerf cuts, steam bending, or heating the material to make it pliable. In this video we chose a piece of PVC trim and used heat to make the trim flexible enough to bend it around a curved staircase base. A heat gun would likely work well, but we chose other heat applications - a propane torch and warm air from a fire place.
