There is a district named Gorkha in Nepal, which is a small village situated in the foothills of Himalayas.
Gorkhali or Gorkha are native to Nepal. This name was given to these people by the Hindu saint warrior Sri Guru Gorakhnath in the 8th century.
Gurkhas are not warriors of any one caste, but only among the Sunwar, Gurung, Rai, Magar and Limbu castes living in the mountains.
When a child is born in their house, they make noise in the village by saying 'Aayo Gorkhali'. With birth, the children here are taught - 'Better to die than to live with fear'.

Only fight with enemies with khukri
Khukhari is a sharp Nepali dagger, which is given to the soldiers of the Gorkha Regiment in the army.
A khukri is a 12-inch long knife that every Gurkha soldier has.
