Facial paralysis is a condition in which a person loses facial movement due to damage to the facial nerve. The patient faces drooping on one or both sides of the face. It is also known as #bellspalsy. It causes dryness in eyes, drooping face and loss of blinking. It is usually caused due to the infection of the herpes virus. It a self-limiting disease, so it gets cured itself but sometimes when it doesn't then the patient needs to take medicines and do proper exercise. Performing regular exercise prevent weakness in the facial muscles.

Patients are advised to repeat these exercises 5 to 10 times0 a day. Exercises to be followed are :
• Raise your eyebrows
• Bring your eyebrows in the center
• Blow your nostrils
• Assist your lips and smile
• Chew gum for jaw exercise
• Move your jaw from left to right
• Make pout
• Bring your lips inward
• Massage in an upward direction
• Hold the air in the mouth
• Bring your tongue in and then out
• Roll tongue in your mouth
• Bring your tongue to your lower teeth
• Move tongue from left to right
• Rotate your tongue within your mouth, clockwise then anti-clockwise
• Grit your teeth
• Try to yawn
• Bring your lips downward
• Anulom-Vilom
• Bhramari exercise.

Note- Assist the above exercise with the help of your finger.
