Midland Railway Butterley - Victorian Train Weekend - 26/8/24

From Saturday 24th - Monday 26th August 2024, the Midland Railway Butterley held their Victorian Train Weekend event over the bank holiday weekend.

There were two trains in service, which saw a rake of Mk1s and the Victorian set in action. The locomotives in service throughout the weekend were British Rail Class 44 Peak 44004 'Great Gable' which has had a repaint into BR Blue with its TOPS number 44004, and running alongside the Peak was LMS Class 3F Jinty 16440. 16440 was hauling the Victorian train rake, whilst 44004 was hauling a rake of Mk1s.

We attended on the Bank Holiday Monday, the day was spent at Butterley. We didn't go to Swanwick this time, but got some great shots and was happy with what we got. Some shots in this video were filmed by my dad, but most are filmed by yours truly.
