Grandma’s House

That old garage where I learned to play piano
Taught me all the table manners I know
The news on every time I was over
Helped bake pumpkin pie in October

I tell her things that I can’t tell my ma
Her love for me is stronger than the law
life gets hard and I have my doubts
and I always have a home at grandma’s house

It’s always been my favourite place to go
Barefoot in the garden then learn how to sew
Every corner holds a memory
She braids my hair and tells me bedtime stories
She gives without expecting anything in return

She’s my second home, taught me everything I know

I tell her things that I can’t tell my ma
Her love for me is stronger than the law
life gets hard and I have my doubts
and I always have a home at grandma’s house

One day I’ll be beautiful and wise
Live these memories , but this time through your eyes
It’ll be the place to be there ain’t no doubt
And I’ll always have a home at grandmas house
Love runs on forever at grandma’s house
