NES - Challenger Perfect Playthrough (1985)

■Game story
------------
The main character, Challenger, is a doctor of archaeology, and is also an expert knife thrower. He is an adventurer who travels around the world for research. One day, he was asked by a mysterious Chinese man named Li Seishin to investigate a strange island called Waldorado Island, which lies off the coast of Rosmary Country.
Challenger was surprised when he arrived in the country of Rosmary to go to Waldorado Island. It turns out that the island is the nest of the evil secret organization "Bloody Whacker". What's more, Bloody Whacker's boss, Don Waldorado, has taken the princess of Rosmary and is on the run on the train Metamorphoses heading for the island. Challenger immediately heads to the island to rescue the princess.

[Scene 1] “Stop the train” STOP THE EXPRESS
The first scene is a battle aboard the Metamorphoses. Challenger jumps onto the front car of a runaway train, but must get to the end of the train to get inside.

[Scene 2] “Find the princess!” SEARCH PRINCESS!
Challenger was thrown off the Metamorphoses and came to Waldorado Island to rescue the princess. The princess is imprisoned in a pyramid in Presiodland, the deepest part of the island. However, in order to enter there, you must match three types of keywords. The size of Waldorado Island is 10 screens in length and 10 in width, for a total of 100 screens. There are several caves inside, and keywords are hidden there. Please be careful as there are various traps set on the island.

[Scene 3] “Get the keyword” GET KEY WORD
This is a scene inside a cave with a keyword. You must use the fountain to get the keyword on the rock on the left. Once inside the cave, you can't get out unless you get the keyword and come back, or die. Please go outside within the specified time.
●Keywords: There are three types: keys, crowns, and rings, and when you have all three, you can open the door to the pyramid where the princess is trapped. Keywords are in the cave, but what they are and where they are changes every time, so keywords you already have may appear again. In this case as well, be careful as you will not be able to go out unless you get that keyword.

[Scene 4] “Save the princess” RESCUE PRINCESS
It's finally the final scene. This scene will begin when you match the three keywords and reach the pyramid in Presiodorand, the innermost part of Waldorado Island. However, it will take quite some time to get there. Please note that even if you have all the keywords, you will not be able to get there unless you go into the caves along the way and replenish your time.
The purpose of this scene is to defeat Don Waldorado and save Princess Maria. Please play the game and see for yourself what kind of scene it is.

*Trick: Jump at the beginning of the Metamorphoses (100 points)
*Trick: If you enter the train without throwing a knife, a "flying whale" will appear and you will be invincible.
*Trick: When invincible, jump on top of Toby (helicar) and defeat Toby. Then the BGM becomes strange. (The BGM will return to normal if you throw a knife, jump, come into contact with an enemy character, etc.)
