Jeff "The Dude" Lewbowski (Jeff Bridges) finds himself unfortunately mistaken for a fellow Lebowski. This case of mistaken identity leads the Dude on a wild goose chase with his bowling buddy Walter (John Goodman). All the Dude wants is a new rug, but he unexpectedly gets involved in a ransom case filled with nihilists, criminals, and other strange characters.
