Samar Singh and Karma express their gratitude to Laxmibai for her successful release. She informs Samar that they have to clear the king of all responsibility and exact retribution for the wrongs done to the villagers. Laxmibai gives her fortunate charm, worn around her wrist, a kiss. A stunned Indu and Chimnabai are informed by Kashi, posing as the queen, that Laxmibai has gone to save Samar and Karma. Nelson, in the meantime, tells Malcolm that Laxmibai was the man dressed as a woman. Nelson promises to expose Laxmibai's true identity as a robber rather than a queen, bringing shame onto the monarch in the process. Nelson, who is pursuing them, shoots Samar and Karma as they race to the palace on a bullock cart with Laxmibai in tow. The carriage becomes trapped.
