HP Compaq CQ56 Powers on with backlight but black screen - Repair and Restoration

This is a HP Compaq CQ56 powers on - backlight but no screen.
This laptop sent me through an absolute rabbit hole in trying to figure out what's the true culprit. And no it's not the screen!

I hope this experience can help those who are stuck with the same problem on models such as the G62, CQ56, CQ62. Do note that the LCD pinout on the LED backlit screens is different but the signals are entirely compatible.
