Gilgit to Skardu Road timelapse | S1 from Jaglot to SKardu | by FWO 2022

There was a time when it used to take 9 hours to reach Skardu from Gilgit.Traffic jams and land slides were really a headache.Govt of Gilgit Baltistan contracted FWO to built new road from Jaglot to Skardu.Despite of all difficulties they mad it possible to build a new S1 from Gilgit to Skardu road which shortened the journey to 3 hours.

Skardu is one of the most visited place in the north by foreign tourists.Each year hundreds of tourist around the world visit Skardu.One can fly from Islamabad to Skardu airport.World's second highest mountain K2 lies in Skardu district.There are many other places along with Manthoka Waterfall in Skardu.Manthoka Waterfall is situated in Kharmang Valley, a sub valley of Skardu.It is about 78km away from Skardu city.Road condition is good and one can go there by his/her own car.You can stay at the spot or in Manthoka village.
