Check out the major progress crews are making in the Center Segment near the Dusty Lane community. Crews are working on new multi-use crossing, temporarily closing Ray Road to create a new overpass; and relocating utilities. This update covers construction work through February 1, 2019. Crews in this segment have already taken down structures in the right of way. They are currently conducting blasting activities on the North ridge of the South Mountains; relocating utilities; building multi-use crossings; create drainage culverts; and completing earthwork. Over the next month, Connect 202 crews will continue to blast the North South Mountain ridge; relocate utilities; create drainage culverts; build a new sound wall; create an overpass at Ray Road; begin rock crushing operations; create five multi-use crossings; start street improvements and complete more earthwork.

Remember to slow down and drive safely in construction zones!
