Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this BT8 one and a quarter inch diameter spindle for 2000 pound trailer axles. Now this is a straight spindle that'll replace a worn or damaged BT8 spindle on your trailer, or it can also be used to build a custom axle. It is a weld on installation. It's a sturdy steel construction.

And if you notice, it does include the castle nut, the washer and the cotter pin are all included. Again, the application for this is 2000 pound trailer axles. The capacity on this spindle is 1000 pounds. So when it's used with one on the other side of the axle, it'll meet the 2000 pound axle rating. The stub diameter, which is this portion right here, I'm going to put a ruler on it.

That's going to measure one and a quarter inches. Overall length from this end all the way to that end, it's going to be right at eight and a quarter inches.Now the bearing races and seals that are used on the spindle, the bearings are the same part number for inner and outer bearing. It's part number L44643. They have a one inch inner diameter. The bearing races that the bearings will sit in are also the same part number.

The inner and outer race would use part number L44610. And the grease seal that'll install right on here, which is part number 34823. That has an inner diameter of one and a quarter inches. Now all the bearings races and grease seals are sold separately on our website, and they're usually listed on this product page as a related product.
