ONE OF THE BEST-TRAINED ELITE UNITS IN THE WORLD: POLISH J.W.K

The Jednostka Wojskowa Komandosów (JWK) is one of Poland’s premier special operations units. Inheriting the traditions of World War II era Polish commandos, the JWK was formed in the early 1960s as a specialized recon and sabotage unit trained to operate behind enemy lines.

Based outside of Warsaw, the unit recruits only from the fittest and most motivated soldiers. JWK operator training is amongst the most grueling in the Polish military, focused on advanced commando tactics, physical endurance, operations planning and foreign languages. This prepares the unit for rapid deployment in support of national military objectives.

Over its history, JWK commandos have participated in exercises with NATO allies around the world. The unit also utilizes the latest weapons, surveillance gear and communication tech suited for sensitive operations. While its missions are classified, the JWK is presumed to conduct counterterrorism, hostage rescue, target designation and high threat reconnaissance in support of Polish national security interests.

As Poland’s only dedicated special operations unit, the Jednostka Wojskowa Komandosów remains ready to conduct highly-complex operations across a spectrum of conflict and crisis situations. Its members stand ready to serve as the tip of the spear for Polish military operations.
