From Rolls-Royce and Bentley to Ferrari and Lamborghini – India’s rich and famous have already conquered the luxury car game. But the real playground for any self-respecting billionaire is a few thousand feet up in the air, where those big bucks can buy you a fleet of slick private jets.

While he trails his big brother by a few ranks when it comes to net worth, Reliance ADAG head honcho Anil Ambani isn’t far behind when it comes to style. The younger scion of the Ambani clan owns a Bombardier Global Express XRS which is powered by two Rolls-Royce engines and flies to a service ceiling of 51,000 feet.

Its specs include a maximum range of 12,000 kms and feature everything from boardrooms to the kind of executive seating you’d expect in a beast that costs $38 million.

Ratan Tata’s been known to even fly coach on occasion. But that doesn’t stem from his lack of options. This still-powerful former head of India’s largest conglomerate owns a Falcon 2000 – a favourite for connoisseurs of private jets. The coolest part? Tata can fly this $22 million beauty himself.

4.Lakshmi Mittal's Gulfstream G550

From booking the Versailles Palace for his daughter’s wedding to buying an entire fucking mountain in the UK, Lakshmi Mittal stands tall when it comes to indulgence among the rich. And despite his considerably reduced fortunes in recent times, this aviation enthusiast isn’t giving up that Gulfstream G550, priced at a breathtaking $38 million.
Another classic choice among private jets, the Gulfstream can touch an altitude of over 50,000 feet and features twin Rolls-Royce engines.

5.KP Singh's Gulfstream IV

This real estate magnate is known for building castles on the land. And true to his reputation, the DLF boss owns a jet that can only be called a fortress in the air. KP Singh’s Gulfstream IV is one of the meanest private jets to ever take flight with a combined thrust of 13,850 pounds created by two Rolls-Royce Tay engines. The $32.5 million beast can also clear the clouds and reach an altitude of 45,000 feet.
