How to Clean Camelbak Hydration Bladder

Cheap, easy way to clean the bladder for a hydration pack. This video explains how to clean mold out of a Camelbak bladder and drinking tube. A little bleach, a wooden dowel and some pipe cleaners make cleaning a hydration pack easy. A Camelbak reservoir is shown in the video, but this cleaning method will clean the mold out of any hydration water pack. It also will clean out any residue from sports drinks if you use them in a bladder. Also shown are a few ways to dry a Camelbak hydration pack.

This video also shows how to easily remove the drink tube from the bladder without having to cut the drink tube. Once the mold is cleaned out of the bladder, simply store it in the freezer. Camelbak suggests that the bladder be stored in a freezer to prevent mold from growing inside the reservoir.
