The former inspector general of police Gen Kale Kayihura has been acquitted of the charges against him of failure to protect war material and illegal expatriation of Rwandan exiles, by the general court martial in Makindye.
This was before the chairman of this court Brig. Gen. Freeman Robert Mugabe where he said that gen Kayihura is now free since the director of prosecutions in the army had withdrawn all the charges against him.
