How to fix the problem of a black screen when trying to use chromium based browsers such as Google Chrome, Opera and Microsoft Edge.
These any other browsers are based on the Chromium engine and it has a weakness in that it doesn't automatically clear GPU cache when a driver is updated or the cache becomes corrupted.

This is an easy fault to fix and you you can easily diagnose it in windows 10 by pressing the shift and ESC keys together with the browser opened and in the chromium task manager you can end the GPU Process task and see if your display comes back. If it does then your video driver or GPU cache is not working correctly.

Delete the GPU cache and maybe reinstall your video card drivers and you should be back up and running pretty quickly.
