“小满”是二十四节气中的第八个节气，也是夏季的第二个节气。小满，斗指甲，太阳到达黄经60°，于每年公历5月20—22日交节。《月令七十二候集解》说：“小满，四月中。 小满者，物至于此小得盈满。”“小满小满，麦粒渐满”，此时，北方地区小麦等作物的籽粒开始灌浆，变得饱满，但又没有成熟，所以是“小满”。

"Xiaoman" is the eighth solar term among the twenty-four solar terms and the second solar term in summer. It is celebrated every year from May 20 to 22. Around this time of the year, the grains of wheat begin to fill, but they are not yet matured, so they are "a little full", aka "Xiaoman".
