From rusty shell to competitive race car in 6 months. Mini enthusiast Keith helps his friend Mark restore his first ever Mini. Not wanting to do things by half's Mark chooses to build a race car as his first ever project named Project Bolt.

This video is a collection of photos taken during the build and up to the race cars first track day. Check out my other project Bolt videos for a breakdown and explanation of the build in bite sized chunks.

Bolt was a bare shell build from a poor shell which needed lots of welding, new inner and outer sills, floor pans, dash rail, inner wing, wheel arches etc. The engine is a full race Swiftune 1380 cc with Webber 45 DCOE, Straight Cut Close Ratio Gearbox with Quaife ATB limited slip differential boasting in excess of 125 BHP

The result is a very quick / fast track car capable of lapping Brands Hatch Indy circuit in sub 60 seconds
