Analyzing a Photo for Watercolor (with Painting Demo)

Описание к видео Analyzing a Photo for Watercolor (with Painting Demo)

In this video, we will look at how to analyze a reference photograph using Photoshop in order to get a better understanding of the colors we should use in our painting. In this landscape, the colors go from low saturation in the back ground to high saturation in the foreground. They also tend to move from cool colors in the background to warm colors in the foreground. In order to capture the depth effect of the atmosphere in a landscape painting, it is very important to understand colors and how they work in real life.

In this landscape, I used cadmium red light, Hansa yellow (bright, warm yellow), aureolin (darker, cool yellow), and cobalt blue.
