The Craft Skill School successfully conducted a three-month training program focused on the traditional art of Thalayatti Bommai (balancing dolls) and Dancing Dolls. This initiative aimed to enhance craft skills among participants, preserve traditional crafts, and empower artisans for future entrepreneurship.

Training Overview
Participants received training in the following areas:

Manufacturing Techniques: The program included instruction on crafting Thatha, Patti, Mama, Mami Thalayatti Bommai, and Dancing Dolls. Trainees learned the entire process from material selection to doll construction, focusing on traditional techniques.

Painting Techniques: Participants learned how to paint the dolls, emphasizing creative expression while adhering to traditional designs, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of their crafted items.

Soft Skills Training: Participants also underwent soft skills training facilitated by corporate trainers, covering essential skills such as communication, marketing, and business management, which are vital for future entrepreneurial endeavors.

Additional Highlights
TANSEED Fund Presentation: Thiru. Maheshkumar from StartupTN provided insights into the TANSEED fund scheme, guiding participants on leveraging this fund for their business initiatives.

Exposure Visits: Participants engaged in visits to local cottage industries, including the Cottage Industries Society Ltd. in Poompuhar and Khadi India, gaining practical insights into industry operations.

Certification and Showcase
Upon completing the program, participants received validation certificates issued by the District Collector of Thanjavur, the Vice Chancellor of Tamil University, and representatives from DSTO and GM of SIPPO.

A showcase event displayed the sample products created during training, allowing participants to exhibit their craftsmanship and newly acquired skills.
