He then accompanies Yuri to the Raft, but Electro ambushes them, unleashing a bolt of electricity at their helicopter. Spider-Man clings on desperately, managing to bring the helicopter into a controlled crash, narrowly averting disaster. However, Electro uses his powers to free the prisoners.
As Spider-Man quells the chaos within the prison, he confronts Electro outside, briefly interrupted by Vulture. The battle escalates on the rooftop, where Spider-Man faces off against Vulture, Rhino, Scorpion, and Mister Negative. Despite their fierce fight, the villains gain the upper hand. As Spider-Man teeters on the edge, Otto Octavius, now Doctor Octopus, intervenes, warning him not to interfere before tossing him off the building.
The villains disperse, each tasked with erasing their debt to Doctor Octopus. Two days later, Spider-Man confronts the heart of the city, unleashing the Devil's Breath.
Twenty-four hours later, Miles Morales and Aunt May aid the sick, concealing May's infection. Mary Jane Watson reports Norman Osborn branding Spider-Man a fugitive, shifting blame without evidence. Sable International enforces martial law and quarantine to capture the escaped convicts. Meanwhile, Yuri takes Spider-Man to the hospital, though he leaves despite severe injuries, determined to continue fighting.
