Shine Up on the Super C | Segment 2 – 1952 Farmall Super C

Описание к видео Shine Up on the Super C | Segment 2 – 1952 Farmall Super C

This Farmall Super C was manufactured June 6, 1952, and then purchased here in La Grange by John Henry Koenig. His first tractor. It served its entire career here in La Grange, Texas spending time on two of the Koenig Farms. It was a very original tractor that had been somewhat decommissioned nearly ten years ago. Like many of these tractors they get where they are not used that much then the battery goes dead and then they are parked. Fortunately, at some point the fuel was drained and winterized (for a decade of winters) and that did a great deal to preserve the tank and the carburetor.

This was not a full restoration, but rather what I consider a shine up. I stripped it down, went through all the mechanical engine parts, carburetor, distributor, starter, generator, and just made sure everything was working correctly and in top condition. Then I prepped it for paint, reassembled, and fired her up. Started pretty much right off.

Now it is run, rid’in, and driv’in like a top. The “Touch Control” lifts even work beautifully along with the PTO drives. This modest shine up cost about $2,100 in parts covering new battery and box, decal kit, touch control temp gauge, front tire, paint, and an assortment of engine fluids, gaskets, and ignition parts. It involved right at 120 hours, of course I round my time down and I am pretty efficient working by myself. Depending on how you value your time, even this level of restoration can get costly. But I did this for a great man, Retired Admiral Weldon, and I contributed the labor as a thank you for his service to our country as a submariner.
