Late Prayer || Maggie, Eric, and Camille || Original Song inspired by Jane Hirshfield

Описание к видео Late Prayer || Maggie, Eric, and Camille || Original Song inspired by Jane Hirshfield

We came back together to create a song inspired by the beautiful poem late prayer by Jane Hirshfield. I always appreciate the synergy of our joint creativity. With this song in particular it was as if the words caused music to pour out of us. I am so grateful for creative friends.

Late Prayer (from The Lives of the Heart)
Jane Hirshfield

Tenderness does not choose its own uses.
It goes out to everything equally,
circling rabbit and hawk.
Look: in the iron bucket,
a single nail, a single ruby--
all the heavens and hells.
They rattle in the heart and make one sound.
