Lori Singer, best known for her role in the movie "Footloose," appears on Australia's TODAY EXTRA to discuss the film's 40th anniversary. During the interview, she also shares memories of her time on the television series "Fame." February 8, 2024

"Footloose" was released on February 17, 1984, and became a huge success, catapulting stars Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer to movie star status. The film was written by Dean Pitchford, who had previously won an Academy Award for writing the lyrics to "Fame." Pitchford also contributed to the "Footloose" soundtrack by composing several songs.

Prior to her role in "Footloose," Lori Singer starred as cellist Julie Miller in the television series "Fame" for two seasons, from 1982 to 1983.
