Crescent K-Craft with a Custom KB Honda 50cc Outboard

Описание к видео Crescent K-Craft with a Custom KB Honda 50cc Outboard

In the video, I finally was able to get out and put the K-craft SUP powered by a shortened full-length drive
system to the test. The Honda engine proved to have plenty of power and from my last outing with the
previous model, this version performed just as expected. The SUP comes in a bit heavier than the previous
model with a new hull design and a flat deck that accompanied everything I could place in the storage areas.
With the seat in place, I changed the leaning bar position to be positioned forward, otherwise it is very tight
when using the seat. 325 lbs. was about the total running weight including the SUP. I will have some mods
coming up in a future video to help with a few ergonomic adjustments.

Stability was on-point with very minimal side-to-side rolling when going through chop. The craft was very
agile and light under power and reached top speed easily. The hull when breaking through heavier forward
chop will send a vibration through the hull when using power as propulsion. This is usually due to hitting the
crest of close waves. This is not an issue, but it will make you adjust how you plow into waves. The hull's
max speed was around 5.9 mph and had a cruise speed right around 4.8 mph. The paddling took minimal
effort and the craft tracked well with a little correction needed based on the current.

The GoPro has a bit of harmonic feedback since I am so close to the engine and the refraction off the water
tends to amplify the sound on camera. These systems are a few decibels louder than the traditional Honda
2.3 hp with a cowling.
