The entry fee to visit the Coffee Museum is INR 20 per person. It is open for its visitors from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all days except Saturday and Sunday.

To begin with the tour of the Coffee Museum, one shouldn’t miss the coffee pots with deep green and red berries lined in huge numbers on either side of the premises. You’ll next be bowled by the huge posters adorning the surrounding walls of the museum as soon as you enter the building with every poster displaying unique and interesting information about the “Coffees of India”.

Move a little further and you will see the Coffee Map of India that highlights the traditional as well as the non-traditional coffee-growing regions of India. From the map, you can also get to know about the particular coffee bean grown in a specific area.

Next, come the Coffee Evaluation Centre where a staff member explains everything about the process of the coffee beans. It’s a complicated process and hence, can take time. After that, you will also see a separate section where the final product is tasted before it is ready to go into the market.

Head to the Lower Level of the museum to learn about the cultural practices, age-old traditions, and several other aspects related to the coffee. An initiative taken by the Coffee Board of India, the museum was set up to let the world know everything about their morning dose of freshness.

A Coffee Movie is also played along with a coffee song so that you can get to know about the complete process it takes to cultivate the coffee by the real farmers in their own language. You can also visit the Laboratory to know about the complete grinding process and the equipment used to process the coffee by the experts.
