Terraria 1.3.0.8: Expert Moon Lord kill (Pure melee)

Requested as Moon Lord vs Fetid Baghnakhs.

BATTLE EXPLANATION
--------------------------------------

THE BATTLEGROUND:
The best way to reach Moon Lord's eyes and core with pure melee is to mount a Cute Fishron while underwater. This means that you're going to need to flood a good chunck of your world.
Be careful with crashing against the top of the world. Place something to mark that you're getting close. In the video I use the water surface for this purpose.

STRATEGY:
The Fishron mount moves faster diagonally than vertically or horizontally and since the Moon Lord always tries to stay on top of you, this means that you can outrun him.
When the Moon Lord spawns, he has all of his eyes open. Take advantage of this and attack his forehead eye by swimming up rapidly.
The hand eyes are easier to reach than the forehead eye. Simply swim towards them and shred them whenever they open. Don't stay on or above them or their projectiles will hit you.
On that note, half of Moon Lord's attack can't hit you if you're above him or have limited range, so swim away if you need time to recover.
Leave the hand eyes with low HP and then focus on the forehead eye.
Whenever the forehead eye opens, fly quickly towards it and attack it in the frame of time that you have before the laser is fired. Then circle around the laser and keep attacking until the eye is closed. You need to keep your speed constant or he'll get out of reach. If you destroy it, finish the other two eyes to open the core.
Reaching the core is tricky. You need to swim diagonally to hit it, but if you do that from below you'll get swarmed by his attacks. Swim to the top of the ocean and then dive in, paying attention to what the Phantasmal Eyes are doing. You'll still get hit often, but the life regeneration provided by your accesories will heal you while you swim upwards again. Keep doing this until the core is destroyed.

EQUIPMENT:
Equip a Beetle Armor with Scalemail for that awesome damage and attack speed bonus. This buff by itself will boost your DPS into the thousands.
Get accessories that grant melee speed and damage. The Celestial Stone and Shell also provide insane HP regeneration, wich will be very useful when attacking the core.
Knockback immunity is also a must, so you don't loose your speed and momentum. The damage reduction from the Worm Scarf is very welcome.
I had the Master Ninja Gear equipped for its passive ability, but a Charm of Myths would've been more useful.
Reforge everything to violent to push your weapon attack speed even further.
The only weapon that is really viable is the Fetid Baghnakhs. With the gear described it attains mind-blowing DPS, wich means that the battle will be over before the Moon Lord can kill you.
Drink all the relevant potions before the boss arrives, specially Ale, wich provides melee damage and speed.
