fusionBIM | Turning the USA EDI into a Design Framework of Architecture for Everyone.

This video is the (pleasantly unexpected) outcome of my exploration into understanding:
1. the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives within the architecture profession in the United Stated of America
2. the AIA’s Guides for Equitable Practice
3. comparing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives in the USA to Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) initiative in South Africa.

So here’s how I think to focus this on actual design:
It's all very interesting and important for creating inclusive, empowering & resilient Architectural practices & business of any kind, but my main purpose as an Architectural Professional is to design & deliver exceptional buildings. Buildings & infrastructure with functional spaces made for purpose. Buildings & spaces that enable the people living, working, learning, healing & playing in these spaces to feel inspired, safe & confident to live their best life & create lasting memories, do their best work ever, grow & innovate limitlessly, have full health and experience fulfillment.

So I ended asking a few questions, flipping the script and up turning the USA EDI into a Design Framework of Architecture for Everyone that can hopefully inspire us in this profession to design better and have joy in seeing others flourish from experiencing the buildings & spaces we design form them.
