I will show you how to add variable product to woocommerce online store.

First of all - Login to your admin console with login details provided

Navigate to Products

To add variable product - click on add product button

1. Type in product name

2. Type in product description

Note: If you are copying text from Word document, website or some other place, paste it as a plain text by pressing right mouse button and choosing paste as plain text.

3. Select category (you can select few categories if the product belongs to them)

4. In product data field select variable product

As you can see - variable product needs SKU code. This code stands for Stock Keeping Unit code. Type in unique number for each garment. In this case, I would choose two First letters of the designer name. Our demo garment designer is Alena Gusarova - I am typing AG. And type unique garment number like 001.

It's better practice to make product list on a spreadsheet before adding them to the shop. I recommend you to make a list on excel spreadsheet, with SKU code, product name, product description ant price. Only then start adding products to the shop.

5. Now Proceed to Attributes section. In this section, we will add sizes to the garment. From the drop down menu choose "size" and click the Add button.

Check Used for variation checkbox and click select all button. As you can see all sizes are added. If there is no specific size for the garment you can remove it by pressing on small x.

Don't forget to click save attributes button.

6. Go to Variations tab. Choose create variations from all attributes and click go. Confirm your choice.

Now you need to setup price for all sizes. This is a very important step. If you will not enter the prices your products will be out of stock.

click top expand button. If prices for all products are the same - enter the price in Variation price field and click Apply to All Variations link. Prices are the same for all sizes.

If the prices are different for some sizes you will need to enter them manually.

7. Save product by pressing Publish

8. To add the main photo for the product click on Product photo on the right side of the screen. Select the main photo for the garment and click upload or choose the photo from already uploaded ones. After the photo is uploaded click on "set product photo" link.

9. If you have more photos for the current product you can add them by pressing "Add product gallery photos". Here you can upload multiple photos at once or select several from existing ones by holding Control key and selecting them with the mouse. When you select required photos click on Add to gallery button.

10. The last thing to do is to select any additional fields that can be implemented on your website. In this case, we need to select a designer. Just select designer from the list.

11. Don't forget to click Publish button for your changes to appear in the frontend.

12. You can view your product by pressing on top view product button.
