Lindrik Outerbridge is a math teacher at the Schuyler Middle School for the Gifted and Talented, Brooklyn, New York. Lindrik brings his background in computer technology and hi-tech workforce experience to his teaching capabilities in the National Science Foundation's GK-12 program, where he teams up with a local graduate student in science and engineering to bring foundational math and science skills to his students in a fun, hands-on approach to technology. Lindrik teaches by the adage "If you teach me I'll forget, if you show me I'll learn, if you engage me, I'll understand." His programs increase creativity by allowing students to develop such things as a portable decontamination unit.
