Nena, Walk With Me Along The Wagenwegstraat And The J.F. Nassylaan here in Paramaribo, Suriname 2022

Описание к видео Nena, Walk With Me Along The Wagenwegstraat And The J.F. Nassylaan here in Paramaribo, Suriname 2022

Hey there, Nena 🥺
So, just like I've said at the beginning of the video.... this is one of my favorite walks and that's bc of the last part of the road and also ya know.... the rest of the scenery in the entire video! lol
Seriously though, out of all the things that I wanna tell you about these two roads and just the different locations and history and all, all I'll say is that this road reminds me of what Paramaribo used to look like more or less; calm and yet busy, that "back in the day" vibe that you can only see in old photos of streets like Domineestraat and Zwartenhovenbrugstraat. I love the trees alongside the road too and saying it like that definitely doesn't do it justice. Walking on the Wagenwegstraat will give you a "this is different compared to the rest of the city" feeling as soon as you'll walk under the old trees that have seen generations of Surinamese people going by throughout the years.
All the hundreds of leafs blowing in the wind in front of those buildings is the closest feeling of fall that we have here and I'm not complaining 🙈
Seriously Nena, walking under those trees makes it feel as if that street is hidden from the rest of the city or it gives *me that feeling at least lol.
Then you get to restaurant Madonna and then realize that you're at the end of the Wagenwegstraat. You then cross the street from Princess Casino where fun fact; used to be the place where one of the first cinemas in Suriname used to stand called "Theater Star" (so much history about that cinema too, but more so from my brothers that I'll tell you about when you'll come here 🥺) and then.... you're on the J.F. Nassylaan and you realize that there's more sunlight shining through the trees that are more so on the left side of the road and and you just can't help but to keep looking to your left to gaze upon all the monumental buildings that have stood through the test of time and that have been taken care of so well that you'll swear they're not older than 5 years. This is definitely one of the streets that you don't wanna drive past, but instead would wanna walk on to just take your time.
It has a different vibe from the Wagenwegstraat and just as you realize that you're at the intersection at the end of the road, you'll then see the last part of the video that I talked about at the beginning of this description..... all I'll say is that I think you'll really like it 🙈

Have fun watching the video and i can't wait to take these walks with you 🥺
I love You, Nena 🥺💖
